This project is a unique opportunity to see with your own eyes the unique works of art collected over two thousand years. For the first time Ultra HD 4K/3D cameras and the technology to add dimension to the image proposed by the director James Cameron were used inside the Vatican museums and the Sistine Chapel. Here are the collections that no one has ever seen before. The viewer will make a unique, overwhelming, thrilling journey and discover the ancient beauty of Vatican museums hidden from prying eyes.
“The Vatican Museums 3D” is a large-scale production accomplished by 40 professionals. Thanks to the combination of normal 3D and 3-dimentional technologies the viewers seem to get inside great works of art: they will “enter” Caravaggio’s paintings, “touch” the Laocoon statue and the Belvedere torso, they will get under the spell of the statues in the Sistine Chapel which have never been presented on the screen so realistically. This incredible emotional journey through past, present and future will be guided by the director of Vatican museums professor Antonio Paolucci.
